LoRa/Arduino workshop for the public May 4th

SenseSmartRegion and Skelleftea Digital Alliance invite private persons to a ½ day LoRa/Arduino workshop at Idélabbet, LTU Skellefteå, May 4th 18.00-21.00. You find Idélabbet in the south-west corner of the D-build ing, see map. Children under the age of 16 are welcome in company of adults.

Get hands-on on experience connecting sensors to an Arduino, sending sensor data via LoRa, and see the sensor data available in our platform.

Bring your own laptop for the workshop session!

We are now setting up LoRa gateways that will cover Skellefteå city. The gateways can handle LoRa 2.0, which means that your devices also can be positioned by the network. The network itself isn’t updated to LoRa 2.0 yet, which means that positioning will not be possible during the workshop.

LoRa is new 1 GHz Long Range technology running in the ISM bands, perfectly suited for IoT and M2M applications with typically 15 km transmission range. The network can be established with your own gateways, or you can connect to a public network that will be available from infrastructure providers.

The workshop is free of charge and will be held in English.

Register no later than Thursday May 4th, at 10.00. We will have a limited number of participants, so be fast to get a seat!

We hope to see you for an exciting workshop.
