Sense Smart Region
We are developing technologies to create smart services using the Internet of Things (IoT) and open data from public activity. We also create support for presenting information as augmented reality (AR). Companies are then given the possibility to build services on the platform.
Partners in the project are: Lulea University of Technology, Sokigo, DataDuctus, North Kingdom, Umeå municipality, Skellefteå Kraft, Skelleftea Digital Alliance and Skellefteå municipality.
The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
iVOS, ”IoT inom vård och omsorg inom Skellefteå kommun”
The project addresses the future demographic challenge and e-health area, and the link to the smart regions. The case study is built as an application on the Smart Sense Regions platform.
The project catalyses the existing system, based on the IoT (Internet-of-Things, IoT) in the municipality, by expanding them with new IoT devices and to exchange information between different activities within the municipality. The project’s main objective, through a case study in elderly care is to investigate the interaction between subsystems can be achieved both at the physical and logical level, i.e. how different electronic components interconnected (Internet of Things, gateways, communications) and how data can be shared between systems by applying common data formats. We intend to create conditions to deal with the demographic challenge and the accompanying growing care needs of our communities, by using IoT.
We will also present a new feature that will provide new opportunities here in Skellefteå!
